FHA Fact: We’ve tripled the size of our team in the last five years. Selectively hiring and retaining the right employees is a labor of love – it requires time, tenacity and teamwork, but the reward is worth the investment. And a talented and motivated team is absolutely fundamental to our business. That’s why we’re so honored when bright individuals choose to join FHA and excited when a colleague rises through the ranks.

I still remember my first day at FHA. I walked in immediately energized by the agency’s diverse portfolio of interesting clients, challenged by the work in front of me and inspired by the knowledge and support of my peers and mentors. It’s been five years, and that day-one enthusiasm hasn’t faded because Fiona has created a playing field that accelerates professional growth, energizes our team and creates opportunity for all boats to rise.

At FHA, we demand collaboration and ingenuity. We challenge each other to think creatively. And, we play people to their strengths. The result is a culture that fosters high performance on behalf of our clients.

We continue to challenge ourselves to think differently about how we can evolve to create new opportunities for our clients and our employees. This includes looking closely at roles and responsibilities, and periodically redefining team members’ roles to pair unique talents with expanded services for our clients.

We’re proud to announce Mike Schwartz’s new role as Manager of Creative & Digital. Mike’s talent clearly lies in quarterbacking FHA’s award-winning creative, social and digital services for clients. Just last year, the Public Relations Society of America/LA Chapter honored FHA with five PRism Awards for outstanding strategic and creative campaigns, including the highly coveted Best in Show.  He’ll be focusing his time on building this practice area, expanding services to support legislative advocacy campaigns, public awareness programs, regulatory challenges, ballot measure campaigns and corporate reputation engagements.

We’re excited to also announce Sarah Melbostad’s promotion to Senior Account Executive. Last year, Sarah was immediately thrown into California’s chaotic campaign arena as a key member of the “Yes on Prop. 68” team.  She seized this opportunity, knowing that campaigns are a great training ground for young public affairs practitioners to craft media materials, engage and mobilize stakeholders, and understand complex policy frameworks virtually overnight. Sarah quickly proved to have an eye for developing smart creative content, a keen understanding of California’s political landscape and a strong ability to deliver a diverse, statewide coalition in record time.

Heather Rapoza moves up to Account Coordinator. Heather is a quick study who is dedicated to providing exceptional service for our clients and team. Her strong attention to detail, highly organized demeanor and proactive approach will serve her well on the client side of our business, as she provides account support to FHA clients in industry areas ranging from water to health care.

Finally, we’re honored that several talented, young professionals chose to join FHA, bringing their intellect, drive and enthusiasm to our growing team as we launch into 2019! We want to officially welcome Sierra Layton, Evan Swerdfeger and Emma Rosloff to our team! We can’t wait to see how they will support our clients and grow professionally.

Indeed, culture is everything. And ours is simply the best.
